Tales from my Magical Home!

1927 was a long time ago and also when my home was built! A friend of mine came with me to view the unit and the second I opened the front door he was half way back down the stairs to leave and I was head over heels in love! I had to scream for my friend to get back up the stairs! He said to me "Gina, I thought you'd be way more picky!" Perception is an amazing sense, where I saw total potential he did not, at first! As I walked him though the home (as if I was showing off a brand new mansion with the most luxurious furnishings and decor and the floor made of ice) I flowed my way in and out of the rooms instantly spitting out my ideas left and right! He said "my God, I would have never thought."

After a few sleepless weeks of not hearing a work back from the owner my phone rang and it was FINALLY mine!! I told myself I would take my time moving in and re-do one room at a time. Well, the exact opposite ended of happening of course and now I'm in the middle of a beautiful disaster and could not be happier! I am an artist and a designer and a full time student. Being able to find, not only the perfect home but being able to re-do it is more than a dream come true for me at this time! Along my journey of restoring my home and updating it, I decided to create a blog so people with the same dream or hobbies/interests can enjoy and learn and of course be inspired by my work & lets not forget, from my mistakes along the way, too!
